Since this took a massive spike over the weekend, new user registrations will be passed by the moderators.

It's unfortunate we have to do so, but to prevent an overload of spam from happening again, we need to. If you are new here, I may well block email addresses I think are 'dodgy', and users that do post spam will be indefinitely banned

    Reporting posts
You can click on the image by a post that looks like this: [IMG] (if using the default theme).

The moderators should then be aware of the post. Please remember to report spam only, and not posts you feel unconstructive.

    Stephen,

Do I need to do anything to help out here?

At the moment, if you could keep deleting reported posts, I'd appreciate it. I'm at a conference with limited internet access.

With regards to the forums, we can't add modifications unles considered a bona-fide user of vbulletin, which would require Beanie to talk to vbulletin on our behalfs

I'm going to make some more modifications to the user setup.
Newly registered users (and those with little/no previous posts)
Expect NOT to be permitted to post links, images, or attachments as a new user. At some nebulous point after registration (not too long afterwards) these things may be permitted.
You can add italics, bolding and underlines to your posts.
No, I'm not giving details on how this migration will happen, but when you reach it, you will be moved from the 'registered users' group to a 'junior member group'. Suffice it to say after a few posts and a bit of time you will be able to do the above.

Junior members have permissions to do most things a normal member would expect, and that includes links, images, etc.

Caveat: I think that I've setup things correctly, but I have to say the myriad of options in vBulletin is amazing and slightly overwhelming. If you are having trouble posting links and think you should be able to, please let me know by posting in this thread

I can't figure out how to get it to order my pizza... =p
